JOHNSTON — Snake Alley, Mosquito Park, the Burlington Riverfront, Weird Harold’s and The Drake in Burlington will be featured on an upcoming episode of Iowa PBS’s new series Road Trip Iowa.

The episode will premiere Wednesday, May 8 at 6:30 p.m. and be rebroadcast Saturday, May 11, at 9 a.m.

In this episode of Road Trip Iowa, drive along what some claim to be the crookedest street in the world, visit a small park with beautiful views, visit a restaurant with a delectable menu that boasts picturesque outdoor scenery, stop by an incredible record store and stroll along the Burlington Riverfront where culture and commerce thrive.

The episode will also highlight other stops along the southern part of the Great River Road National Scenic Byway including The Candy Kitchen, Pine Creek Mill at Wildcat Den State Park, the National Pearl Button Museum, Tooleseboro Mounds National Historic Landmark and Hinterland Dairy.

Road Trip Iowa explores the flattened prairie down the Jefferson Highway Heritage Byway, catches the stunning Mississippi River views on the Great River Road, drives through the Bohemian Alps on the Iowa Valley Scenic Byway, and discovers the best places to stop along your journey. Viewers take an adventure across Iowa’s scenic byways, enjoying the historic sites, unique attractions and natural beauty along the way.
