The Old Fort Players would like to invite all area thespians to audition for their February production of “Misconceptions,” written by Michael Vukadinovich, at 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 10, or at 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 11.

Auditions will be held at Old Fort Players theater at 725 Ave. H, Fort Madison.

‘Misconceptions’ is the story of two sisters who have nothing in common.  Claire spent her day at a wedding and her sister Dora spent her day at a funeral.  Claire complains about not meeting anyone at the wedding, Dora in fact met an old flame, Peter, at the funeral.  The two sisters start a fight when their eccentric mother appears.

The two start slinging accusations at each other including the pregnancy word.  Of course, neither girl denies anything and that is where the fun begins. Actors will have to audition to be a part of the ending.

Claire would be a girl in her 20’s and Dora would be a couple of years older.  Peter would be in his later 20’s.  The mother would be in her 50’s.

Ages are a starting point as OFP cast members can makeup the right person to the age we would like them to be.  This play will open on Feb. 16 and run for 5 or 6 performances.

The action on stage is directed by Carol Parson, who is a veteran of OFP and a seasoned director.

If unable to make one of the audition dates, but interested, call OFP at 372-9559 for a private audition.

‘Misconceptions’ is presented by permission of Eldridge Publishing Co.  Check us out on facebook or at www.oldfortplayers.com.
